Dubai: Not Just a City, but an International Lifestyle Ecosystem

Naturally, anyone with investments in the region is feeling quite unsettled due to the ongoing Gulf crisis.
Investors who already own—or are considering purchasing—real estate in Dubai are at the forefront of this group.
Two weeks ago, I spoke with a Turkish property owner who also runs a shop in the Maslak Auto Industrial Zone.
He lives in Dubai.
He told me that daily life was continuing without a hitch.
From my conversations with representatives of development firms operating in Dubai and my observations of their work, I can see that life is proceeding as usual.
On the real estate front, companies prefer to attract buyers by offering flexible payment terms rather than slashing prices.
However, sellers who need to offload properties quickly are having to offer significant price reductions.
As for what the future holds for Dubai, my answer is this:
If problems in the region escalate, Dubai will inevitably be negatively affected by the situation.
Overall, however, Dubai has a bright future.
When my business partner and I made our first business trip to Dubai in January, the picture became very clear to me: Dubai is an international project—indeed, the region's new hub of attraction.
I certainly do not view Dubai as merely a local market.
When discussing real estate investment, it is, of course, crucial to invest in the right project at the right time and with the right terms.
As is the case in many parts of the world, predictability in the Gulf region is currently low.
It is difficult to make predictions about the period ahead.
Nevertheless, I believe Dubai is on the path to becoming a regional hub.
This applies particularly to sectors like real estate, tourism, and logistics; over time, the financial sector might join the list as well.
